The Working Class collection

Filtrate Eyewear's Working Class collection

As Jimmy Barnes once said - "oh oh oh he's a working class man". "Working hard to make a living bringing shelter from the rain"...... blah blah. (if you haven't heard that song it's a classic! Google it!!)

Introducing the collection

Staying true to our Working class roots, the Filtrate Working Class (WC) collection centers around stylish adaptation of a classic shapes brought to life from an uprising WC culture.

Designed with hard edges and strong lines to stand out in a crowd, the collection is unique and focuses on a tough bold look. A bold look and a strong belief something the WC have manufactured and something we believe in supporting.

Not only do we support the meaning behind “Working Class” but the fashion statement that is the WC is producing. From the Barber styling that are coming through in what is worn today, to mechanics and many young entrepreneurs that are taking the risk to get out there and start their own brands, while adapting their own styling to this concept.

The Proper - This is the first release from the WC collection. Hand crafted in the Working Class tradition using Cellulose Acetate, 5 Barrel steel hinges and High Definition CR-39 Lenses for ultimate clarity and UV protection. It has a larger bold look and fit's like a glove (but on your face).

The Proper II - An adaptation and re-styling to the original Proper. This Sunglass is slim-lined keeping the sharp edges and thick frame for strength and performance on your face! Comes in our unique RAW finish so you can wear something that doesn't look like everyone else.

The Proper 2 Working Class eyewear collection

The Mayhem - World renowned Surfboard Shaper Matt Biolos's signature style. This style was developed with Matt to bring something different to our eyewear range. Matt says " I think, more than anything, it's unique in the Eyewear world that they reach out and support the artist, or the craftsmen, Instead of just the athletes or rock stars". Matt is a creative genius and we are stoked to be able to work with him to develop this style.

THE HIPPY KILLER - Renowned Chopper builder Kutty Noteboom assisted us in the designed of a sunglass that could resist wind, while riding at high speeds. The aerodynamics of this sunglass have been designed as an alternative to wearing goggles. The fit is amazing and PC lenses for impact resistance.
