‘Richo’ wins Tasmanian State Surfing Title 2 years running

Meet Benny Richardson or ‘Richo’ – he’s a hard charging, no BS nice guy from Tasmania, Australia.

Tassie is renowned for being a quiet island in the colder waters off the South Eastern tip of Australia.

Its also vaguely the shape of…umm well – some lubricated Aussies have been known to drawl ” show us ya’ map of Tassie ” just before copping a slap from a female prospect around pub closing time…..but we digress.

The selection of waves on offer here range from some of the heaviest on the planet (Massive swells charge up and hit the island from distant Antartic storms) – to some of the most picturesque bays and beachies you’ll ever see.

Filtrate would like to send a huge congrats to our mate Richo for taking the Tasmanian State Surfing title for the second year running. So here we put together a little photo tribute to Richo. Yewww!

Benny got this lil’ pic in Aprils issue of Surfing World Magazine in Oz.
